It isnt the driving that i have issues with but rather the manner in which this video was made. Aside from the insanely racist insinuations made in the video, which does nothing to help the viewer have faith in the maturity and responsibility of the people in this video, the manner in which they try to emulate the Ken Block videos does not help.

While Ken has put the time to organize and create a masterful peice of automobile footage, the professional quality indicates that safety and responsibility was implemented to ensure minimal risks to both the driver and viewers. However, this video is disconcerting for the following reason, the lack of professionalism in the delivery of it some how indicates that none of those precautions were implemented.

This leads to the eventual copycat syndrome on youtube where others who do not have the inclination for safety and responsibility will consider doing the same stunts on public roads and spaces. We drivers in Ontario already have it hard enough with ridiculous traffic laws which do nothing to stop the real problem, but the advent of youtube, in my opinion, has created a worldwide phenomenon which promotes irresponsbility.

And to answer your question, no i do not believe that given our cars heritage that they should be relegated to the roles of a daily driven go getter. However, the key thing we need to impart on the youth today and of the future is that while you may afford a performance car, the place to use your performance must be in accordance with rules on safety and responsibility, which inevitably means on closed circuit tracks.

Sorry to go off on the subject, but the fact that we have such draconian traffic rules gets me riled up, however, the source of these rules cannot be heard without some merit to their arguements. Safe environments to take cars to the limit must be promoted as the true alternative, not promoting ridiculous street racing hijinxs which put so many people at risk.
